Costs Lawyer

Are you an experienced Costs Lawyer or Costs Draftsperson looking for a challenging and varied role? Join a busy legal costs team in Newcastle and take ownership of complex, high-profile matters.

The role:

• Prepare and review bills, costs budgets, and detailed assessment documents

• Negotiate settlements and advise fee earners on strategy

• Support hearings and case management conferences

• Work closely with a proactive team to ensure smooth case progression

What we’re looking for:

• Strong experience in costs law or drafting

• Solid understanding of CPR, case law, and costs procedure

• Meticulous, with excellent attention to detail

• Confident using CostsMaster (experience with Proclaim or other case systems is a bonus)

• Positive, adaptable, and team-oriented
