Overview:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join a highly regarded Public Law team recognised for its work across education, health, social care, and human rights. The successful candidate will support a specialist team handling Court of Protection (Property & Affairs) matters and the administration of Personal Injury Trusts.
This role offers the chance to work in a supportive, collaborative environment where people genuinely enjoy working together to make a difference. Hybrid working is available, with occasional office attendance required.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist fee earners with their caseloads within the Court of Protection team.

Draft correspondence and prepare court documents.

Conduct legal research and provide clear, concise summaries.

Liaise with clients (including vulnerable individuals), case managers, and other professionals.

Support new client enquiries and maintain accurate internal records.

Manage calls and casework efficiently, ensuring excellent client service.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of procedures and relevant legal developments.

Assist with billing and general administrative support.
Experience & Skills Required:
Essential:
-
Strong, demonstrable knowledge of Court of Protection (Property & Affairs) cases, the Mental Capacity Act, and the administration of Personal Injury Trusts.

Excellent client care and communication skills.

A team player who can also work independently to deliver results.

Strong ability to prioritise, manage workloads, and work to deadlines.

Proficient in legal research and confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office.

Highly organised with strong written communication and attention to detail.

Desirable:

Law degree or equivalent legal qualification (LPC/PGDL).

Experience working with vulnerable clients.

Previous experience within a legal or public-facing environment.

Familiarity with the Proclaim case management system.
