Court of Protection Solicitor / CILEX Lawyer – Health & Welfare

Up to 3 years’ PQE | Manchester

We’re looking for a Solicitor or CILEX lawyer to join our Court of Protection Health & Welfare team, supporting clients who lack capacity to make decisions about their care, treatment, or living arrangements. This is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist expertise in a supportive, values-driven team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support vulnerable clients and their families with best-interest decisions

• Assist with Court of Protection applications, including complex or disputed matters

• Provide clear guidance in sensitive situations

• Work closely with health, social care, and rehabilitation professionals

• Manage a varied caseload including Legal Aid and private client matters

• Contribute to business development and client relationships as appropriate

Person Specification / Requirements

• Solicitor or CILEX with up to 3 years’ PQE

• Experience in Court of Protection, mental health, family law, safeguarding, or other work with vulnerable clients

• Direct Health & Welfare experience is advantageous but not essential

• Excellent communication skills and a calm, empathetic approach

• Motivated to develop specialist expertise and grow professionally
