Are you a personal injury solicitor looking for your next career move? A leading Leeds-based law firm is seeking a talented Defendant Personal Injury Solicitor to join their specialist team, handling Employers’ Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) claims for retail clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with 3–5 years’ PQE who wants to manage a high-value, varied caseload while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What the Role Involves

  • Managing your own caseload of EL and PL claims from instruction to settlement, including complex matters.

  • Providing clear and professional advice to clients, ensuring excellent communication throughout the claims process.

  • Drafting correspondence, reviewing medical and expert evidence, negotiating settlements, and attending court when required.

  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure smooth case progression and high-quality client service.

  • Maintaining compliance with SRA regulations and internal quality standards.

  • Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues where appropriate, contributing to team development.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with 3–5 years’ PQE in personal injury law, ideally with experience on the defendant side in EL and PL claims.

  • Confident managing a caseload independently while delivering excellent client care.

  • Strong technical knowledge of personal injury litigation and claims handling.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Highly organised, commercially aware, and able to work efficiently under pressure.

  • Collaborative, proactive, and eager to contribute to a specialist team.
