Location:  Manchester, M2 5AD (Hybrid/Remote)
Salary: £25,000
Hours: Mon – Fri 09:00 – 17:00 (Full-Time)

Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an organised and motivated Industrial Disease Paralegal to join a well-established national law firm known for its modern and people-focused culture. You will support experienced solicitors on a high-quality caseload involving NIHL, asbestos-related claims, HAVS, dermatitis, and other occupational disease matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with a varied caseload of industrial disease claims from initial instruction to settlement.
  • Draft legal documents, witness statements, court forms, and correspondence.
  • Conduct initial client calls, gather evidence, and maintain regular communication throughout each claim.
  • Request medical, employment, and HMRC records and carry out relevant research.
  • Liaise with clients, defendants, medical experts, and third parties to progress files efficiently.
  • Prepare court bundles and support solicitors with litigation tasks.
  • Maintain accurate case management and ensure compliance with deadlines and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience within personal injury or industrial disease work is highly beneficial.
  • Good understanding of the litigation process, ideally within claimant PI.
  • Excellent drafting, organisation, and communication skills.
  • Competency using case management systems and general IT tools.
  • A proactive, professional, and client-centred approach.
