The Role

As a Legal Cashier, you’ll be at the heart of the practice, ensuring smooth financial management in line with the conveyancing compliance requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing client and office accounts

• Dealing with SDLT payments and Land Registry fee transactions

• Preparing and processing electronic payments, CHAPS, and faster payments

• Carrying out daily and monthly bank reconciliations

• Processing purchase ledger invoices and office payments

• Liaising with fee earners and solicitors

You will be a confident and skilled Legal Cashier. You’ll be confident running processes independently and comfortable working as the sole finance professional within a small but busy and fast growing law firm.

You will have:

• Proven experience as a Legal Cashier 

• Strong knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

• The ability to work independently and take initiative

• A proactive, professional, and approachable manner
