The Opportunity

Harkaye Core Talent is partnering with a prestigious U.S. law firm to appoint an exceptional Restructuring & Bankruptcy Associate to join its London office. The team advises on some of the most complex and high-stakes special situations in the global market, acting for a sophisticated client base that includes investment banks, private equity sponsors, distressed debt funds, and corporates.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a lean, collaborative team that consistently features on marquee matters — including cross-border restructurings, contentious insolvency proceedings, and strategic workouts involving multiple jurisdictions.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an England & Wales qualified Associate with 1 to 5 years’ PQE and the following experience:

• Strong restructuring credentials from a leading international, U.S., or Magic Circle law firm
• Exposure to both creditor and debtor-side mandates, with solid commercial awareness
• Proficiency in key financing instruments, including bank debt, high-yield bonds, and intercreditor arrangements
• Comfortable working across cross-border insolvency regimes, ideally including UK schemes and U.S. Chapter 11
• Excellent technical drafting and negotiation skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
• Highly motivated, commercially astute, and able to take ownership of matters while working within a high-performing team
• Naturally collaborative, intellectually curious, and committed to building a long-term career within a market-leading platform
